Johnathon earned his Bachelor’s degree from Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Biomedical Sciences, with a minor in Health and Exercise Science; and two Associate degrees from Patrick Henry Community College in Arts and Sciences and General Studies. As an undergraduate pre-medical student Johnathon spent many hours expanding his working knowledge of the human body. With an intense passion for exercise and fitness, he concentrated on understanding the functions of the body and relating it to exercise science. Working with special populations and medical conditions is an area of specialization in fitness that Johnathon understands. He has a deep and recognized background in clinical research, working for Carilion Clinic’s Wet Lab Research facility for two years as an undergraduate student.

Having knowledge of both human function and exercise mechanics, Johnathon decided to pursue, and has completed his graduate studies with Radford University, to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May of 2017. He currently practices and demonstrates within the gym everyday either coaching, training or treating.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Certification (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Johnathon strives to apply scientific knowledge in the development of strength and conditioning programs for individuals of elite physical fitness, to the newcomer in exercise and conditioning.  Additionally, he is credentialed to work with dietary nutrition and refer clients to other professionals for specific consults. CrossFit training is a foundational tool that Johnathon works to implement into many diverse training programs. Meshing CrossFit with traditional strength and conditioning platforms elevates the training programs composed and executed.
