Yoga for Athletes

Yoga and mobility can be powerful tools to your functional fitness. Join us for a Yoga for Athletes session at Crossfit Unify Roanoke! Bring a mat and join us for the yoga practice to improve your mobility. The session is $10 and will be taught by Ninette Crunkleton. Register in advance, PAY ON SITE.

Ninette is a graduate of the Uttara Yoga Teacher Training program and was a longtime crossfitter. During her training she noticed a very distinct difference of what most athletes could do in class versus traditional ‘yogis’. That is when she knew she wanted to bring yoga to athletes. She has furthered her training with learning therapeutic style yoga which relates directly to athletes and her ability to teach classes that target typical trouble areas. Ninette’s teaching style is relaxed, jovial, intermixed with occasional f bombs, making her style of yoga very approachable for those that feel they are too tight or yoga is too serious for them.

Just like Crossfit, she can come up with an adaptation for any pose that is not accessible to someone at that time. Nothing makes her happier than hearing how a snatch or squat was hit with ease.
